The system was composed of the hardware platform for WSN, serial interface RS-232 and application software on PC. The hardware platform included sensor modules, several sensor nodes and sink nodes. In the practical construction, sensor modules were input into the sensor channels of senor nodes to constitute a tiny network with the sink nodes, and then the data from WSN were transmitted to PC through serial interface.Finally, the application software for WSN was designed. Data of every node and routing table were acquired from serial interface RS-232. The display of real-time node curve and network topology was implemented. The ability of checking the node data and network situation was provided to make the field debugging convenient. Besides, in order to make the software more humanistic, the display of node listing module, the cover of the software and interface optimization were designed.A visual demo system with complete function for environment medium Wireless Sensor Network is designed and has great application value. The sensor module can not only be used as the input of the data channel for the sensor node, but also can be settled in other application fields. In one hand, the ability of accurate and rapid acquiring data is supplied. In the other hand, the system can be used as a kind of experimental platform and can get possible important information, such as the performance of Wireless Sensor Network and operation status of each node.Testing results show that the accuracy of sensor data collection for the environmental media of small wireless sensor network is improved obviously through rectification module; the expected goal for application software has been achieved and the software is beneficial to the entire sensor network monitoring and management.
